Massage and bodywork have both an immediate and cumulative effect. All types of bodywork have the ability to immediately reduce pain and stress. But bodywork done on a regular basis provides the most benefit, often helping people with pain have more days without pain, or eliminating their pain entirely, in between appointments. Regular massage also has the power to help people mentally, giving them the ability to better handle stress in between sessions. Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly appointments (typically depending on your specific issues) is most beneficial.
